No, Seriously, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE DVD?!
Well, the weeks have been busy, I had a few bad drawing days but I'm just lazy in posting them. But I'll talk about that later, you're not going to guess what happened. I've trying to write this part of the journal since last week, but constant new updates on the subject have lead me to not be able to count on the post. This is about the 2 elusive Urban Vermin DVDs; Battle of Brothers and Arms Race.

As you guys might know, I wrote about ordering the DVD back in these journals; Huh... interesting. (more of a mention), This appears to be a ventish journal... and even Redirect? REDIRECT UP MY ASS!
But goodness, it's been 4 months since I ordered it, and I had given up hope. So what did I do on Sunday, January 10, 2010? Well before I left for Christmas Vacation, I found another site that was selling the DVDs. So I thought "Hey, since I'm not getting them from the first store I ordered from, I might as well just try this other one that is... CHAPTERS.INDIGO.CA?!" and so I went to the book store to order both DVDs~! Because as you can see... they're both available! At the time when I ordered it, Arms Race only said it was "In-Stock" and I had no idea what that translated to in Shipping time. When I got to Chapters, they said that means it should get here in about a week. The other DVD said it would get here in 1-2 weeks.

Well my friends, in real time that apparently means LESS THAN 48 HOURS, BECAUSE THE DVD CAME IN ON TUESDAY. HOLY DAMN, THAT'S WHAT I CALL FAST! So I went to go pick it up on Thursday and I was all like "OMG, IT LIKE... TOTALLY EXISTS!" and I went home, recorded a video of the amazing find and went to watch the 3 episodes.

So today, Saturday, January 16, 2010, I go to the store where I ordered my DVD 4 months ago to cancel my order. So there are two ladies there, and I'm like "Hi, I want to cancel and order I made back in September 2009~" the girls are like "September 2009? (Damn, you've been waiting.)" So I start to ramble on like "Yeah, I ordered it when it was available, and it had been like that for 2 months but now I've kind of given up." Then, I notice something at the back of the counter. "It's funny actually, that DVD case over there look like Arms Race- from Urban Vermin!" So the girl looks behind and without even me telling where the DVD was, she takes out these two DVDs being held together by an elastic band, and starts to walk over. My face went in total shock. THAT WAS THE DVD I ORDERED 4 MONTHS AGO. LIKE, CRAP MAN! "Is your name Alexandra?" "Y- yeah!" "Oh, well... we just got these DVDs in yesterday, we were going to call you later today!" That's when I told I ordered somewhere else on Sunday, and I got one of them already but I was missing the second one. But either way, I had only ordered 1 DVD from that store, but two of them were aside for me. Conveniently, the one that I was missing was the only one I ordered. Anyways, it turns out the computer had me down for 3 DVDs, because despite the guy making a separate order for me, he had it all paid as 1 bill. Luckily, I don't pay until I get the DVDs. Chapters... I kind of had to pay already, but when I told them the problem, they told me that as soon as it comes in, I can have a refund. I found out later that they sell DVDs aimed for children in the back corner.

Either way, I finally am in possession of the two DVDs. Here's the photo of it! [link]

FLASHBACK!
It's funny, every time I go to cancel something, the product just pops up. The same situation happened with my Shining Tears game. I went to go find a used copy of the game, It took about two months before I went to call to cancel, only for the guy to tell me "Are you sure? I just found a used copy!" "O- Really?! Wow, talk about convenient!"


Stomach Acids... BURNS.
I just choked on that stuff like... half an hour ago. My throat finally just stopped burning. If you keep forcing yourself to burp (like trying to burp your name or the alphabet) THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN! My god, you have a gag reflex, the BURNING and the stinging, slight choking without the lack of oxygen (it's weird) and constant small burps.

If this happens to you, my tip is eat something that makes your mouth feel kind of slimy after eating it. Like when I drink orange juice, or after I gargle, I keep spitting out the slime that's formed in my mouth. Hey, without mucus, your stomach would digest its self. So for me, acid drinks (like Orange juice and lemonade) and milk give me that slime. After this, I don't even WANT to know what that pure acid that melts/burns through everything-BUT-the-tube-glass-it's-contained-in feels like.


Art Resolution for 365 days
My goal by the end of this year to have drawn/photographed(a good one), sculpted, etc. and posted about 365 images on DeviantART. I've been a lazy poster and a less lazy drawer but there's still some days I'm missing.
